A bitter dispute has erupted within an Akan Family in Kwadaso-Ohwemase of the Ashanti Region, with members alleging that, the Late, Chief Nana Appiah Ammen has sold the coveted Abusuapanin position to “Agya Joe Manu” who is not a member of their family.The family is outraged, claiming that the sale is a betrayal of their tradition and an insult to their ancestors.
In a desperate bid to halt the burial of the late Ohwemase chief,Nana Appiah Ammen and installation of abusuapanin position of the alleged buyer, the family has sworn Otumfour’s great oath, invoking the Asantehene authority and seeking his urgent intervention.
Madam Abena Konama, the family convener, in a saddened heartfelt emphasized that, in Akan swearing of Otumfour’s great oath is a serious matter, invoking Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu’s authority and seeking his urgent intervention for the family to get their abusuapanin position.
Some members of the family in deep sudden express how the late.Nana Appiah Ammen treated the family and also sold the abusuapanin position to alleged Agya Joe who is not a member of the family calling Otumfour’s intervention.
